Incident Summary: On 06/25/16, at approximately 5:47 AM the St. Louis County Sheriff's Office was dispatched to a medical on a water-access only campsite on Lake Kabetogama in the Voyageurs National Park.  A group of campers where camping on a campsite when a tree fell and struck two campers that were asleep in a tent.  It was uncertain if high winds or lightning caused the tree to fall due to a severe storm that was passing through the area.  Members of the Sheriff's Office, Voyageur National Park Service, Kabetogama Fire and First Responders and International Falls Ambulance assisted with transporting the two injured parties via boat from the campsite to the Wooden Frog Campground boat landing.  They were transported by the International Falls Ambulance Service to the Rainy Lake Medical Center in International Falls.  Their injuries appeared to be non-life threatening.
