Sanitary sewer construction is still underway and is progressing smoothly. Through collaborations with City and Mayo construction teams, we decided to leave the trail undisturbed until the end of summer, which will allow the Med City Meander bike ride to take place at Cascade Park on May 24 without a hitch! We anticipate the next portion of construction on the site to begin for the storm water pond, on-site grading, storm sewer and watermain installation in June.

Package B for Link BRT construction was awarded at the Monday, May 5 City Council meeting. Package B includes: paving, curbing, sidewalk, storm sewer, sanitary sewer, watermain construction, signing, striping, signal lights, street lights and landscaping. We anticipate construction for Package B to begin in June.
The architectural portion of the Link project will be going out to bid on May 20. This portion of the project includes the vertical circulators (elevators and stairwells), station construction and the construction of the tunnel that will connect under 2nd Street in front of the St. Marys Campus. The tunnel will provide easy pedestrian access across 2nd Street for patients, families, friends, visitors and employees. The Transit Center will also feature gathering spaces and areas of respite for those on the surface level near the vertical escalators. The underground utilities and tunnel construction will require a 16-18 week full closure of 2nd Street between 12th Avenue and 14th Avenue.
