Calling all local bands: Performance opportunities at the 2025 Riverside Music Series or FORWARD Park Concerts!
Rochester Public Music is looking for local bands to open for the 2025 Riverside Music Series and FORWARD Park Concerts. If you're band is interested in performing at one of these fantastic summer events, now is your chance! This paid gig is a great opportunity for local talent.
Here’s the deal:
- Deadline to Apply is February 14, 2025

- Selected bands will be contacted after April 1, 2025
What We’re Looking For:
- You need to have enough material for a 45-minute set
- You’ll need to bring your own backline (we don’t provide that)
Bonus Points:
- If any member of the band has a connection to the 11-county region (Dodge, Fillmore, Freeborn, Goodhue, Houston, Mower, Olmsted, Rice, Steele, Wabasha, and Winona), we’re giving preference to acts with local ties. See application for further information.

Riverside Music Series will take place every Sunday from July 13 through August 10, 2025, in Mayo Park. This long-running, family-friendly FREE community event features must-see national headliners and includes local food vendors, craft beer, and giveaways.

FORWARD Park Concerts will take place on June 5, June 12, June 26, August 14, August 21, and August 28. These Wednesday evening performances are in walkable, pet-friendly, and bike trail-connected parks—one in each City ward. This free, family-friendly event highlights local bands and regional headliners, and activities for the whole family, including local food trucks, craft beer, the Rochester Public Library's Bookmobile, and the Rochester Park & Rec’s Go! Rochester Public Music has been the City of Rochester Music Department since 1936. It provides the community with fun and memorable musical events, including the Riverside Music Series, the FORWARD Park Concerts, Sound School, and Passport Sessions.
