"These Eyes", "Laughing", "No Time", "American Woman", "Share The Land", "Hang On To Your Life", "Albert Flasher", "Sour Suite", "Orly", "Glamour Boy", "Star Baby", "Clap For The Wolfman", "Dancin’ Fool", "Stand Tall", "I’m Scared", "My Own Way To Rock", "I Will Play a Rhapsody", "Timeless Love", "Break It To Them Gently", "Dream Of A Child", "Fine State of Affairs", "Love Dreams", and "You Saved My Soul" all bear Burton’s distinctive stamp. His voice has been rated among the finest in rock music.
As a member of the Canadian Music Hall of Fame, Canadian Songwriters Hall of Fame, Canadian Walk of Fame, Canadian Music Industry Hall of Fame, Prairie Music Hall of Fame, six-time Juno Award winner, recipient of the Order of Canada, the Order of Manitoba, the Governor-General’s Performance Arts Award, 22 SOCAN Awards and several BMI (Broadcast Music Industry) awards for over 1 million airplays of his songs, BURTON CUMMINGS is one of the most celebrated rock artists in Canadian music history. His most recent album, 2008’s critically-acclaimed Above The Ground, was his first ever to feature all original songs by Burton. Fans and critics alike glowed with superlatives citing the album as his best work in decades.
Canadian rock music royalty, Burton Cummings remains at the top of his game as an unrivaled singer, songwriter and recording artist.

ABOUT THE SERIES...
Down by the Riverside is a free concert series that takes
place on Sunday nights in Mayo Park (behind the Mayo Civic Center) in
Rochester, MN during the months of July and August.
It has become a Rochester tradition, that on Sunday nights
in the summer, many of the citizens of Rochester and surrounding communities
put the finishing touches on their weekend by gathering together in the
friendly confines of Mayo Park; to laugh, dance, sing, relax, play, eat, drink,
socialize with friends and family, meet new friends, soak in those steamy
Minnesota summer nights; all to a soundtrack of "live" music
featuring local, national and international artists from a broad range of
genres and eras.
This summer will mark the 26th year the City's Music Department
(Riverside Concerts) has produced the popular outdoor concert series. This year's series will run July 9
through August 13; Sunday nights at 7:00 PM in Mayo Park.

 We
would like to thank Think Mutual Bank, the title sponsor of the
Down by the Riverside Free Summer Concert Series. Without community minded
businesses like Think Mutual Bank, we would be unable to produce a concert
series of this magnitude, and would certainly not be able to offer it to the
public for free. Thank you, Think!
|
And a special thank you to the City of Rochester, the Rochester City Council, and YOU...the citizens of Southeastern Minnesota.
