Important Information About New Rental Licensing Software
Thank you for your patience and cooperation as we transition to CitizenServe, the new rental licensing software. Keep reading for some important information about the new system:
|
Inspection Scheduling
- You will receive an e-mail notification of any upcoming inspections from "noreply-portal@citizenserve.com."
- A reminder e-mail will be sent to you the week before your inspection. The information in the e-mail will look like the letter you're used to receiving via US Mail.
- Natalie is still here to help you! Please call Natalie at 612-861-9882 with any questions or if you need to reschedule the inspection (please give us 24-hours notice if you need to reschedule).
- Buildings with even-numbered addresses will be inspected in even years and buildings with odd-numbered addresses will be inspected in odd years.
- Buildings with provisional licenses and housing with services are inspected every year.
Portal Tools
Several items are now available through the portal. Sign into your account to find:
- Your rental license.
- Your inspection report (the Inspector will also e-mail you a copy following the inspection).
- Your inspection notification and reminder notice.
If you haven't signed into your account yet, you'll need the login information we sent you via e-mail and US Mail in late November.

Reminder Regarding Re-Inspections
Your rental license includes two inspections. If the Inspector has to return to the property a third time, you will be charged a re-inspection fee. Be aware that the re-inspection fee increases with each additional inspection beyond the first two.
Also, be sure to get your inspection date and time noted on your calendar. "No-shows" and failure to give us 24-hours notice of the need to reschedule will also be charged a re-inspection fee.
