Recycling Rates for 2024
How are recycling rates determined? Once your recycling has been collected, the processor sells the recyclable goods as commodities. The value of commodities (like plastic, glass, paper), varies year to year and impacts the cost of the recycling process. Richfield residents will see the impact of those changes to commodity prices annually with updated fees for recycling services. When the market for commodities is good, residents will pay less. The 2024 quarterly rates for recycling will be $21.44, up from $16.98 per quarter in 2023.
