RPD collecting Toys for Tots
For many years, the Richfield Police Department has participated in the Marine Corps Toys for Tots campaign. Last year was a huge success, and RPD looks forward to this year's collection!
The mission is to collect and distribute NEW and unwrapped toys as Christmas gifts to the disadvantaged children of Minneapolis and St. Paul. Collection boxes are in the Richfield Police Department lobby (6700 Portland Avenue), Public Works office (1901 66th Street East), and the Community Center (7000 Nicollet Avenue).
The collection will run now through December 7.

Winter Clothing Drive
As the season turns colder, it’s time to wrap our community in love and warmth. The Richfield Leadership Network and partners are collecting gently used, clean winter clothing for children, teens and adults. Please ensure the items are in good condition, free from holes and something you’d be proud to give and receive.
Donations can be dropped off at five locations, including City Hall (6700 Portland Avenue) or the Community Center (7000 Nicollet Avenue).
Donations accepted through December 7.

Over the past year, Richfield has been working to accomplish the goals identified in the 2023-2026 Strategic Plan. Since early 2023, the city has already accomplished 34 percent of the actions included in the plan.
Strategic planning is a vital process for the city and helps chart a clear and purposeful course for the future. The Strategic Plan sets objectives and outlines a roadmap to achieve those goals and help policymakers make informed decisions. These priorities are specific, measurable, and time-bound objectives, ensuring that everyone involved understands the desired outcomes and works toward the same goals.

Yard Waste Collection ends November 30
While yard waste collection season ends on Thursday, November 30. A delay in collection will occur next week due to the Thanksgiving holiday. For residents with Friday pickup, this means the last yard waste pick-up will occur on Saturday, November 25. All others have the last pick-up the following week. If you need to schedule a pick-up and don't have seasonal service, please contact your hauler or the city at garbageandrecycling@richfieldmn.gov.
Alternatively, consider leaving the leaves in your yard to provide habitat and create natural mulch as they break down! Learn more here:
