Farewell, Amy Markle
On October 13, Recreation Services Director, Amy Markle, will sign off on her 20-year career with Richfield as she transitions to new opportunities as the Director of Parks and Recreation for the city of Eden Prairie. Markle began her Richfield-career as a naturalist at Wood Lake Nature Center in 2003, working with thousands of students and coordinating programming for more than 15 years. In 2019, she was promoted to Recreation Services Director. The years since have seen her leading her team through the COVID-19 pandemic, completing numerous award-winning projects and strengthening a commitment to equity and inclusion in city programs and facilities.
The public is invited to gather and celebrate Markle’s achievements on Tuesday, October 10, from 3 to 4:30 p.m. at Wood Lake Nature Center (6710 Lakeshore Drive).
We thank Amy for her years of dedication, friendship and commitment to Richfield. She will be greatly missed!
