The leaves are changing to reds and yellows....orange pumpkins are starting to appear around town, and we're ready for the arrival of fall with a host of indoor and outdoor activities as the weather cools. Join us for some fall fun!

Yoga at the Community Center
Vinyasa Flow Yoga Taught in English & Spanish Experience traditional Vinyasa flow, taught in both Spanish and English. Perfect for all levels. Yoga is a great way to unwind, focus on the present, and improve your overall mood. Bring your own mat and water bottle. Ages 14 and up. Grateful Power Yoga Flow Thursday, November 23, 9:00-10:00 am, $10 Join us for this Thanksgiving morning session of gratitude yoga flow. Use breathwork to build heat within, slow things down and gain awareness with different yoga poses. Bring your own mat and water bottle. Ages 14 and up. ------------------------------- Instructor Wendy Zuniga is a Latina Millenia yoga teacher who has been practicing yoga and meditation for more than nine years. Wendy loves to teach yoga in English and Spanish. She thinks of yoga as an immersive experience that helps you to relax, gain clarity, and build confidence. Join us to move your body, get out of your head, and more importantly have fun!

Tots Winter Play Date: Arts & Science Exploration (ages 3-6)
Saturday, October 7, 10:00 am: Exploring Fiber Arts and Animal Architects $25/child+adult Investigate the animals who alter their environment, often to help them find food or build their home. Some carve our cavities into trees, while other build or weave different materials together. Learn how to weave your own three-dimensional bowl structure using colorful yarn. Held at the Community Center (7000 Nicollet Ave). Pre-registration required.
DASH Flag Football Camps
DASH Sports Flag Football Camps provide players with a well-rounded football experience in a safe, low-to-no-contact environment. Key elements of passing, catching, rushing and defense will be taught and practiced daily, and players will be grouped and challenged at an appropriate level in a fun, positive environment while learning the value of respect, hustle and pride. Held at Christian Park (6900 Bloomington Ave). For ages 2-12 (three age groups).

Wood Lake Nature Center Winter Break Kids Camps
Embrace the fun of a Minnesota winter with these camps, held in late December, for kids ages 5 to 12. Two of the camps are three-day programs, while the third is a one-day camp. Spaces are very limited, so don't delay! Visit the registration link below.

Mini Snowflakes Camp (ages 5-7)
Wednesday-Friday 9:00 am-12:00 pm December 27-29 $65/child per class Campers will run snowshoe races, build forts in the snow, explore the Nature Play Area in its winter form, and make treats around the fire. Indoors we will meet a few of our animal friends. -------------------------------------
Arctic Escapades (ages 8-12)
Wednesday-Friday 9:00 am-12:00 pm December 27-29 $65/child per class Campers will run snowshoe races, build forts and snow sculptures, find animal tracks, play winter games like tug-o’-war, and make treats around the fire. Indoors we will meet a few of our animal friends and make crafts. -------------------------------------
Winter Sampler (ages 6-12 years)
Thursday 1:00-4:00 pm December 28 $30/child per class Campers will spend a fun-filled afternoon enjoying some of the most popular winter activities Wood Lake has to offer: snowshoeing, building winter forts, and exploring the park looking for tracks!
Friday and Saturday Fun
Select Fridays, 10:00 am Augsburg Adventure Park (7000 Nicollet Ave)
Spend the morning listening to stories shared through puppets, Read-A-Story Theater, storybook walks, and staff-led storytime. Each week will include new adventures to share, followed by playtime at the playground. Special dance parties are sprinkled-in the mix to celebrate the summer season! In the event in inclement weather, program will be cancelled. All sessions begin at 10:00 am.

*Storybook hikes are on paved, accessible sidewalk adjacent to the playground. Distance is approximately 0.4 miles.
