Come on out for the Urban Wildland Half Marathon & 5k!
This weekend, more than 1,000 runners will head to Richfield for the Urban Wildland Half Marathon and 5k. The half marathon will begin at 7 a.m. at Veterans Park. The USATF-certified half marathon course then takes runners throughout Taft Lake Park, Christian Park, Augsburg Park and nearly all the way around Wood Lake Nature Center. The 5k course, which begins at 7:30 a.m., will also start at Veterans Park and be an out-and-back route to Taft Lake Park.
There are still spots left in both races! All proceeds from the race pay for Richfield students to visit Wood Lake Nature Center multiple times per year for free to meet their environmental educational needs.
Residents are encouraged to come out and cheer on the runners! Check the course map to find the best location for your household.

The ADA is an important civil rights law that prohibits discrimination against individuals with disabilities in all areas of public life, including jobs, schools, transportation, and all public and private places that are open to the general public. The purpose of the law is to make sure that people with disabilities have the same rights and opportunities as everyone else.
