Tax Preparation
Tax Appointments through AARP began Thursday, February 2 at the Richfield Community Center. Recreation staff work with AARP to provide this free of charge, in-person tax preparation assistance for individuals 50+ who have low-to-moderate income or qualifying disabilities. Tax volunteers are IRS-certified and updated every year to changes in the tax codes. An average of 650 clients are served every year through this program.
Appointments are held every Tuesday and Thursday morning, require an appointment which can be made by calling the Recreation Department, and available slots are filling up quickly.

How do you access the arts?
The Minnesota State Arts Board believes that lives across the state are enriched by arts and creative experiences. The Arts Board works works to ensure that all Minnesotans can participate in, and benefit from, those experiences.
The board is seeking insights from communities to create a plan to promote greater equity in the arts. The plan will draw on the experiences and perspectives of all Minnesotans to help communities be more welcoming, healthy, and vibrant.
The survey is available in six different languages and is open through February 28.
