Consider the Citizen Police Academy for 2023!
This year's Citizen Police Academy is a free, 18-hour, 6-week course designed to give residents a working knowledge of the operations and responsibilities of the Richfield Police. It is also a great opportunity to meet Richfield’s police officers. The weekly course runs from February 9 through March 16, from 6 - 9 p.m. Any person who is at least 18 years old and lives or owns a business in Richfield may attend the academy. There are no physical qualifications necessary and mandatory attendance of all sessions is NOT required.

Christmas tree pickup begins next week
All garbage haulers will be picking up Christmas trees from January 2 - 13. The negotiated cost for Richfield residents is $12.36 per tree and will be added to your bill. Please contact your hauler via phone or email to schedule collection. Residents do not need to have yard waste collection to use this service.
Do not bag your tree. Remove decorations such as wires, stands, ornaments, and tinsel. Only natural, unpainted trees will be collected. Do not cut up your tree or put it in your yard waste cart. Trees should be left at the curb or alley for disposal on your regular collection day.

Richfield liquor ranked third in the state!
The State Auditor recently released its report on Municipal Liquor sales for 2021. Richfield ranked third in gross sales, behind Lakeville and Edina municipal liquor stores.
We appreciate the patronage of our community members, and the local benefits that come with profitable stores. Purchases at Richfield Liquor ensure that funds are cycled back to the community parks system, enhancing all the things that make Richfield great.

Snow removal volunteers needed for Richfield seniors
Local partner, Senior Community Services (SCS,) has an urgent need for volunteer assistance with snow removal for HOME program participants in Hennepin County.
This is a seasonal commitment. SCS staff will find participants near volunteers’ homes so they can make an impact and get to know the older adults in their neighborhoods. Visit the link below, or contact the organization at 952-767-7894, or scsvolunteer@seniorcommunity.org, for more information.
