City offices closed Thursday and Friday
City facilities will be closed on November 24 and 25 in observance of the Thanksgiving holiday. City parks and the trails at Wood Lake Nature Center will continue to be open. We offer our gratitude to our police, fire and water plant staff who will be working around the clock this holiday weekend.

Here's your holiday gift guide from the Richfield Liquor stores
Check out the first annual Holiday Gift Guide from the Richfield municipal liquor stores! The guide features staff recommendations for beer, wine and spirits this holiday season. The liquor stores also offer gift cards. Every year, more than $450,000 in profits from Richfield Liquor are reinvested into the city’s parks. Consider buying local this holiday season at the Richfield municipal liquor stores! Some of the recommendations include:
- A wine that tastes like the holidays
- "The Drink that Satisfies" according to Scottish lore
- A secret recipe for the Cream Ale Float

Plus, the Liquor Stores will be open for special holiday hours tomorrow, one of their busiest days of the year! Stores will be open from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. tomorrow, November 23. The Shoppes at Lyndale Store (7700 Lyndale) will close at 9 p.m.

Delayed trash pickup this week
Reminder that garbage*, yard waste, and organics collection service will be delayed for some residents this week due to Thanksgiving. Residents with Thursday service will be serviced on Friday and those with Friday service will be serviced on Saturday. Recycling service will also be delayed for Aspen customers with those service days. Please email garbageandrecycling@richfieldmn.gov with any questions.
* Garbage service for Republic and Waste Management, every-other-week trash customers will not be impacted.

Shop local this Saturday!
This Saturday, November 26 is Small Business Saturday! It’s a great day to get out and support local small businesses in the community. Richfield has partnered with Hennepin County’s Elevate Business initiative in a promotional effort called Love Local to highlight our love for local businesses. Be sure to shop local and show our businesses lots of love this holiday season.

Winter Market off to a great start!

Last Saturday, more than 350 Richfield residents came out for the first Winter Market of the season. Held at Veterans Park, the indoor market offered a wide range of seasonal local foods and handcrafted gifts, alongside the festive B&J Evergreen tree lot. Thank you for supporting local small businesses this holiday season!
Two more Richfield Winter Markets will be held on the following dates:
- Saturday Dec 3, from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.
- Saturday Dec 17, from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.
The Winter Market is located at Veterans Park, 6335 Portland Ave, Richfield, MN, 55423.
