Beware of frozen pipes
It looks like some near-zero temps are about to arrive overnight this weekend. Don't kick off your Thanksgiving week with frozen water pipes! Pipes located near an outside wall or in an old well room (both common in Richfield) are the most at risk of freezing.
Keep a door open in these areas to allow some heat to reach your water meter and pipes. This is most important at night when no water is being used.
If you think your pipes may be frozen, please contact the city's utilities staff at 612-861-9198.

More free COVID tests
Four additional free at-home rapid tests are available to all Minnesota households in advance of the Thanksgiving holiday through the state’s online ordering program.
Minnesotans who have previously ordered tests are again able to receive four additional tests per household by ordering online. Minnesotans can also place orders through the Minnesota Department of Health's COVID-19 Public Hotline at 1-833-431-2053, Monday - Friday from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m., Saturday from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Language assistance is available.

In case you missed it....
Last week's General Election was a great success, with 68% of voters exercising their right to vote. Twenty percent (20%) of the 15,031 votes cast were done via absentee balloting. Huge shout-out to all the election judges and our City Clerk, Kari, for their hard work!
