Get the scoop on the Mixto Mural!
This week's Moment with the Mayor catches up with BJ Skoog and the Mixto Art Collective, on site at 72nd and Chicago. Over the course of the summer, a community mural has taken shape on the south-facing wall of the Galaxy Foods warehouse building. The Mixto Mural is a collaboration between the Richfield Leadership Network, local artists and business owners and the City of Richfield.
The mural is being painted by Ricardo Perez and Sebastian Rivera Cintron, artists with the Mixto Art Collective. The theme of the mural is ‘What if Richfield became a jungle?’ The artists used more than 90 responses submitted during the Galaxy Foods Block Party to develop their concept for the mural.
Check out the Moment with the Mayor for more information.
