Save energy (and money) with these tips!
Your air conditioner and heating make up more than half of your home’s energy use. Save both energy and money with these tips:
#1: Shut your curtains or blinds when the sun is pouring into your home and heating it up while you are trying to stay cool.
#2: Turn off your fans when you leave a room. Remember: fans cool people, not space!
#3: Set your temperature higher when you leave your home or cool only the rooms that are being used.
#4 Sign up for Xcel Energy’s A/C Rewards with your smart thermostat and receive a $75 rebate! Don’t have a smart thermostat? Get additional discounts on one at Xcel Energy’s Store when you participate.

Reminder: Private pools must be fenced
Per Richfield City Ordinance, all pools must be fully fenced. A pool is defined as a structure, basin, or tank containing water for swimming, diving, or recreational use that is over 24 inches in depth. Using this definition, all outdoor pools shall be completely enclosed by a non-climbable fence, which is at least 4 feet in height. Fences must also have a self-closing, self-latching gate.
