The Richfield Recap - April 28, 2022 |
|
A busy week for Richfield Fire
Last week, the Richfield Fire Department responded to two separate fire incidents that required a multi-agency response. On Thursday, a garage fire was contained with the help of fire departments from Edina, Bloomington, and the Metropolitan Airport, in addition to support from the Richfield Police and Public Works Departments.
On Saturday, a structure fire on Penn Avenue snarled weekend traffic, and again required the assistance of those same partner agencies and departments. The fire was deep within the structure, but damage was again contained without damage to neighboring properties.
Thank you to RFD and all our partners!

Thank you volunteers!
Thank you to the 100 volunteers who came out to Wood Lake Nature Center on Sunday to celebrate Earth Day and Arbor Day. The rain could not keep the smiles away! Special shout out to the St. Thomas Geology Club, and to the many volunteers who collected trash around the park, planted trees, and removed hundreds of invasive buckthorn trees in our woods. We appreciate your help!
