Summer jobs abound at the city of Richfield
Summer is right around the corner and Richfield is doing its best to attract the best and brightest to fill our seasonal positions. If you, or someone you know, is looking for a change of pace, or a unique way to earn some money this summer, the City of Richfield has tons of employment opportunities for all ages and interests.
The city’s biggest summer employers are the Public Works and Recreation Services Department.

Do you know an outstanding Richfield citizen?
What do Santos Mejia, Susie Luttenegger, Joyce Marrie and 'Miss Richfield, 1981' have in common? They've all been awarded the Gene and Mary Jacobsen Outstanding Citizen Award by the Richfield Human Rights Commission (HRC).
The HRC is now accepting nominations for the 2022 award. This annual award honors a family, group, organization, business or individual that lives or works in Richfield. The award is given to nominees that exemplify outstanding community service, a commitment to human rights and a commitment to making our community a better place for all.
Nominations will be accepted through April 29.

Do you have a Richfield 3rd Grader?
Sign them up for this summer’s Police and Fire Safety Day to be held on June 14. Kiddos will learn fire, bike, electrical and personal safety, basic first aid, hands-only CPR and bullying prevention. The program is facilitated by Richfield police officers and fire fighters.

Reminder: Celebrate Earth Week this weekend!
There are many ways to celebrate Earth Week in Richfield this weekend, from storybook hikes, to park cleanups to enjoying the outdoors with your neighbors. Come together to celebrate our natural world, discover ways to live a greener lifestyle and have fun along the way.

Thanks volunteers!
AARP Tax Aide wrapped up its season at the Community Center this week, having assisted over 700 people with filing their income taxes. While many sites for this service have been closed since 2020, the community center was able to adapt and host this year's clinic. Thanks to all of the AARP volunteers who provide this great service for members of our community!
