What do I do with this?

Is your house cold?
If so, the Home Energy Squad (HES) and City of Richfield can help to make sure you are staying warm all winter and maximizing your home's energy potential!
When you schedule a HES visit, an energy consultant will come to your house, identify ways your home can be more energy efficient, and install items like LED lights, door weather stripping, a programmable or smart thermostat, and more! .

Bilingual Snowshoe Hike a success
On Sunday, February 20, more than two dozen people joined Mayor Maria Regan Gonzalez to learn about snowshoeing and trek across the marsh. Wood Lake Nature Center manager, Paul Smithson, taught about the history and physics of snowshoes and the mayor translated into Spanish for the Spanish speakers in attendance. The group was able to put on snowshoes and navigated the cattails and open ice of Wood Lake. Hot cocoa and cookies were the seasonal treat to wrap up the unseasonably warm day.
This was the second bilingual winter program that Wood Lake Nature Center and the mayor have teamed up for. January's cross country ski program was also a great success.
A bilingual birding event is in the works for this spring.
