On December 19, 2014, the Tax Increase Prevention Act of 2014 was signed. As a result, the 2014 Minnesota Schedule M1M, Income Additions and Subtractions, was updated.

If you have updated your software and are receiving acceptance notifications for returns you have submitted, you can disregard this message.

What do I need to do?
You must make sure the software you are using has been updated. You need to update your software before returns you submit can be accepted by the department.

What if I’ve already submitted returns?
Check with your software provider to confirm they received an acceptance or rejection notification for the Minnesota income tax returns that you have submitted. If your software provider has not received confirmation regarding one or more of the Minnesota income tax returns you’ve submitted, verify the normal notification time frame with them and make sure they updated their software.

You must follow your software provider’s procedures for resubmitting rejected returns.
