The Department of Revenue is pleased to announce that beginning Oct. 1, 2014, our electronic Certificate of Real Estate Value system (eCRV) will completely replace the paper certificates of real estate value. At that time, all certificates of real estate value must be submitted using eCRV. County and city offices will no longer accept paper copies of the Certificates of Real Estate Value.
We are excited to say farewell to the cumbersome paper CRV process and move to a fully electronic system. If you are not already using eCRV, you should start using it right now in order to become familiar with it. You can submit, search, and learn more about eCRVs by going to our eCRV webpage: http://www.revenue.state.mn.us/CRV/Pages/eCRV.aspx
Some of the many benefits of eCRV include:
- Free!
- Secure – better protects private data
- Fast – form processing time is greatly reduced
- Accessible – public can easily search the database 24/7
- Improved data with greater integrity – eCRV validates data when submitted
We are committed to helping you with the transition from paper to eCRV. We offer online help files with step-by-step instructions on how to complete the form and live support with department employees to assist you with any questions you might have. You can find our help and support information here: http://www.revenue.state.mn.us/CRV/Pages/eCRV.aspx
