Help us spread the word about choosing direct depost for tax refunds

We are waiting one more year before we issue tax refunds on debit cards. We previously announced that tax year 2012 would be the last year we would issue paper checks for people who don’t specify direct deposit on their tax returns. But we decided to extend this through tax year 2013. We’re using the extra time to make sure taxpayers know they can choose to have refunds directly deposited into their bank accounts.
1.3 million Minnesotans choose direct deposit because it’s:
- Safe: No lost or stolen checks. No returned mail.
- Easy: Just enter your bank information when sending your tax return. Or ask your tax preparer to direct deposit your refund.
- Convenient: The money goes directly into your bank account.
- Fast: It’s the fastest way to get your refund.
Please help us spread the word by letting people know about direct deposit when preparing their returns.
Thank you,
