Monthly Reporting Policy for Electronic Pull-tabs Games
Starting with your June 2013 Lawful Gambling Tax Return (Form G-1), reporting of electronic pull-tab games will be based on monthly activity, instead of games removed from play.
This change is to simplify reporting requirements for lawful gambling organizations, who conduct electronic pull-tabs games. This way, you’ll report revenues from electronic pull-tab games in the month it was earned to help reconcile your account(s).
Note: This does not apply to paper pull-tabs, which you’ll continue to report at the close of the game.
Close electronic pull-tab games in-play on May 31, 2013.
If you have electronic pull-tabs in play on May 31, you must:
-
Close them by the end of the day.
-
Report the games as “Played” on Schedule B2 of your May 2013 return (due June 20).
Electronic filing through e-Services
If you conducted electronic pull-tabs, you must file your return electronically through our e-Services system. (This also applies if you conduct electronic bingo.)
Starting with your June 2013 gambling tax return (due July 20), you must:
-
Report and pay tax on electronic pull-tab receipts based on monthly activity.
-
For electronic pull-tabs that are still in play, select “In Play” on Schedule B2.
-
When you close a game and remove it from play, mark it as “Played” on that month’s return. Specify the date the game was removed from play.
