It’s National Small Business Week. The Minnesota Department of Revenue is highlighting the online resources available to business owners throughout the week.

As a small business owner, you may have people outside your business that help with filing and paying your taxes. You also want to protect yourself from any potential fraudulent activity that could occur when sharing a username and password with someone.

Third-party access allows you to give others secure online access to your tax accounts.

Why should I use it?

With third-party access, you can:

  • Limit access: Control and limit each user’s access and abilities for each account
  • Limit liability: Track all actions in e-Services by username
  • Protect yourself from fraud: Decrease your risk of potential fraudulent activity

How do I do it?

Go to www.revenue.state.mn.us and type third-party access in the Search box to get started.
