New Local Sales and Use Taxes

The following local sales and use taxes will start on April 1, 2019. Click the links for information on each local tax.

• Redwood County Transit Sales and Use Tax
• Waseca County Transit Sales and Use Tax

Registering for the new local taxes

If your business is physically located in any of the above counties, the Minnesota Department of Revenue will register you for the local tax and send you a notification letter.

 

If your business is not physically located in the counties but your business makes taxable retail sales into those counties, you will need to register for that local tax. To register in e-Services, click the link for the tax you need to register for from the list above and follow the instructions listed on that page.
