Quarterly Return and Deposit Due Dates

  • The Minnesota quarterly withholding tax return is due January 31, 2019, for the fourth quarter (October-December 2018).
  • Deposits were due according to your semi-weekly or monthly deposit schedule. If you withheld $1,500 or less of Minnesota withholding tax in the third quarter (July-September 2018), your deposit is due January 31, 2019.

Form W-2 Due Dates

Form W-2 information for tax year 2018 is due to your employees and the department on or before January 31, 2019.

Form 1099 Due Dates

Form 1099 information for tax year 2018 is due to:

  • your payees on or before January 31, 2019.
  • the department on or before January 31, 2019, if they have Minnesota withholding.
