2017 Filing Season Reminder & ERC Update

Driver’s License/State Issued ID
You may see a prompt in your software asking for the taxpayer’s driver’s license or state issued ID information. This change is part of a new national standard. However, Minnesota does not require this to be included with an Individual Income Tax return. Omitting the information will not cause the return to be processed more slowly.
Error Rejection Codes (ERCs)
We have posted an updated version of the 2016 M1 ERCs on our website. This update includes a correction to the error message of ERC 0005.
