e-File Rejection Codes

Did you receive a rejection code when you attempted to electronically file a state income tax or property tax refund return with the Minnesota Department of Revenue?

If so, you can find detailed explanations of our rejection codes on our website. From our homepage, click the For Tax Professionals link, select the Resources tab, and then Error Rejection Codes.

Our rejection codes are four digits. If you received a rejection code that was not four digits, you may need to contact your software provider for more information.
