Savoring Fall and Prepping for Winter

Tamarack in fall

Most of the leaves have fallen, but there’s still plenty of fall beauty left to enjoy at Tamarack Nature Center. Join us this month to explore habitats, battle buckthorn and craft holiday ornaments from nature.

Read on for details on upcoming programs, as well as information on how to work or volunteer at Tamarack’s Winter Recreation Rental Shack this season. If you were one of the hundreds of trick-or-treaters that participated in Tamarack Trick or Treat – or if you want to see the fun you missed – be sure to check out the photos on our Facebook page.

When the wind blows through a wood, its mass is cut and closed by every leaf, forming a train of jittery vortices in the air. - Alice Oswald
