Early absentee voting for Aug. 11 primary begins June 26

Avoid lines on primary election day by casting your ballot early through absentee voting. 

Voters can submit absentee ballots at the Plato Building (90 Plato Blvd. W, Saint Paul, MN 55107) starting June 26. Two additional locations will open for Ramsey County residents to cast ballots from July 24 through Aug. 10. Voters may use whichever location is most convenient, regardless of the city in which they live.

Celebrate Pride Month and Juneteenth across Ramsey County

This June, Ramsey County commemorates Pride Month and Juneteenth, celebrating vibrant communities where all are valued and can thrive.

Stop by Ramsey County Library for an all-ages event featuring a variety of LGBTQIA2S+ Pride activities and crafts throughout the day. Check out a curated reading list to learn more about the history, significance and ongoing legacy of Juneteenth.

The 5th Annual Juneteenth Celebration – The Reckoning is happening on Friday, June 19, at the Minnesota State Capitol grounds. Join the community celebration hosted by the Anika Foundation for great entertainment, resources including legal and civil rights support, food and more. Explore the 2026 calendar of events.

Residents can also find Ramsey County at the Juneteenth Celebration at the Rondo Center for Diverse Expressions (RCODE), 315 N. Fisk St., Saint Paul, from noon to 5 p.m. RCODE’s celebration will feature speakers, music, food, exhibits and community activities celebrating African American culture and heritage.

Summer Reading at Ramsey County Library

From June 1-Aug. 8, kids and teens can participate in Ramsey County Library’s 2026 Summer Reading Program. The program is available for kids and teens to track summer reading and activities for prizes.

The summer reading program is sponsored by the Ramsey County Library Friends, MELSA, Minnesota State Fair, Minnesota Twins, Sea Life at Mall of America and Cup and Cone in White Bear Lake, with additional funding from Minnesota's Arts and Cultural Heritage Fund.

Software updates coming in June for the library

This summer, Ramey County Library will be switching to new behind‑the‑scenes software that helps the library run smoothly. Library users will start to see temporary changes to how they use the library in June. Checking rclreads.org and the library’s Facebook page throughout the summer will keep you informed and help you plan your visit.

Nine-hole tournament course

Register for The Community Classic, a fun and free nine-hole tournament happening on June 27. Join us to celebrate the renovation and reopening of Manitou Ridge Golf Course. Space is limited to 100 golfers.

Music on the Cortile launches at the Landmark Center

Music on the Cortile presents live performances by musicians in the picturesque Musser Cortile at Landmark Center.

Union Depot celebrates 100 years

During its centennial year, Train Days carries even greater meaning as the community celebrates 100 years of rail history, connection and shared experiences.

Paper shredding event at the Environmental Center

Protect your personal information by bringing confidential documents to a paper shredding event for Ramsey County residents on Friday, July 17, from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. or Saturday, July 18, from 9:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. at the Ramsey County Environmental Center. Residents may bring up to three banker-size boxes, weighing no more than 50 pounds each.

Bounce Back Tournament and Mental Health Fair, July 11

Social Services and community partners will host Bounce Back (a high-energy three-on-three basketball tournament) on Saturday, July 11 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at Jimmy Lee Recreation Center in Saint Paul. This community event is designed to bring people together, promote wellness and connect residents with valuable mental health resources in a fun and welcoming environment. The event will also feature a mental health resource fair, a 3-point contest, food and activities for the whole family. Learn more and register your team to play.

Public Health Center is now open at 1850 Beam Ave.

On June 1, most clinical services are now available at the new location at 1850 Beam Ave., Maplewood, MN 55109. This includes:

  • Clinic 555 (sexual and reproductive health).
  • Immunization Clinic.
  • Tuberculosis (TB) Clinic.
  • The Public Health Lab.

Changes to document submissions for

Financial Assistance Services

Effective on June 1, Financial Assistance Services has moved to a more secure submission method and will no longer accept applications, renewals and other documents through email. Email is not considered a secure method for transmitting sensitive personal information.

This change supports safer, more reliable submission methods that help protect resident data while supporting timely and accurate case processing. Residents and community partners may continue submitting documents online, in person, by mail or fax and can learn more about these secure channels on the financial assistance page.
