Early voting began on Friday, Oct. 17 for the Nov. 4 general and special elections in Ramsey County.
This election includes:
- A special election for Senate District 47
- School district elections for districts 282, 621, 622, 623 and 625
- City and school district general races
Vote by mail
Request an absentee ballot to vote from home. Once your ballot arrives, fill it out and return it by mail or drop it off at the Plato Building during voting hours.

Vote on Election Day
On Election Day, Tuesday, Nov. 4, you must vote at your assigned polling place. Find your polling place and view sample ballots at mnvotes.gov.
About 158,000 Ramsey County property owners will soon receive a Proposed Property Tax Notice. The notice estimates the amount of property taxes owners will pay in 2026 if the county, cities, school districts and other taxing jurisdictions approve their respective budget proposals. Proposed Property Tax Notices will also available online using the property tax and value lookup tool .

Ramsey County and community partners will host an Energy and Electrification Resource Fair on Nov. 3 from 4-7 p.m. at the Ramsey County Environmental Center. Join us to learn how to understand and lower utility bills and more.
Recycle for a Chance to Win a $25 Gift Card
Drop off your recyclables at the Environmental Center Nov. 18-22 for a chance to win one of 20 Visa gift cards valued at $25 each. Bring accepted materials for reuse, recycling or safe disposal to participate. Details and rules available.

The Heading Home Ramsey Biannual Full Continuum of Care (CoC) Meeting from 9 a.m.-noon, Wednesday, Nov. 12, at Saint Paul College will bring together community partners, service providers and county staff to discuss progress and ongoing efforts to prevent and end homelessness in Ramsey County.
Anyone can RVSP by Nov. 5 and attend. The meeting provides an opportunity to hear updates from CoC leadership, learn about collaborative initiatives underway and explore ways to strengthen housing stability across the county.
Clean energy and innovation are helping build a more sustainable future at Rice Creek Commons. From noon-1 p.m., Thursday, Nov. 13, the Joint Development Authority is hosting an informational webinar to share how sustainability design guidelines are shaping the development.

On Saturday, Oct. 18, Ramsey County celebrated the reopening of Rice Street from Wheelock Parkway to Arlington Avenue with a community ribbon cutting event. The event served to celebrate the new improvements to Rice Street, give an update on future construction and thank project partners.
The road full road reconstruction reduces Rice Street from four lanes to three lanes with a center turn lane and a ten-foot shared use path on the west side of the street.

YCORe relaunches to serve youth
Ramsey County has supportive programming for youth who struggle with drug and alcohol abuse. The newly relaunched YCORe program serves youth ages 12-18 in group and individual sessions up to three times a week with the help of highly qualified professionals.
The focus of the program is to learn more about the symptoms that lead to substance misuse and to practice healthy living strategies to make positive choices moving forward.

Support Veterans during Operation Green Light Nov. 4-11
Five county buildings will be illuminated green from Nov. 4-11 as part of Operation Green Light for Veterans . The county also invites residents and businesses to join in this nationwide effort to shine a light of hope and support for veterans. Free green light bulbs are available from the Ramsey County Veterans Services Office during office hours.
The Courthouse, Landmark Center, 90 West Plato, the Law Enforcement Center and Union Depot will shine green lights to honor the approximately 23,500 veterans and their family members who call the county home.
By shining a green light, county governments and our residents will show veterans that they are seen, appreciated and supported.
800 Minnehaha Adult Probation office relocating to Metro Square
On Nov. 1, Community Corrections office will no longer be accessible to the public. Staff will be closing the 800 Minnehaha Adult Probation office and relocating services to the Metro Square building in downtown Saint Paul.
Clients should reach out to their probation officers to confirm the location of any upcoming in-person meetings.
