Ask EH: How do I dispose of plastic bottle caps?
A: Small plastic items like bottle caps, cutlery and straws cannot go in your household recycling. These items are too small to get captured and sorted at recycling facilities. Instead, keep plastic caps on plastic bottles when recycling, and put other small plastic items in the trash.
Do you have a question about recycling and disposal and can’t find the answer in our A to Z Green Guide? Call our Recycling & Disposal hotline at 651-633-EASY (3279) or send us a message.
