Ramsey County Environmental Center now open!

It’s no joke—Ramsey County’s Environmental Center is open starting April 1! This new facility will make it easier for residents to reduce, reuse, repair and recycle.

Fix-It success story: A 1937 radio passed through a family

Tracy La Vere was a teenager when she last heard music flow from her grandfather’s radio. A relic from 1937, the Philco 37-9X Console Radio sat unused for decades in their family home.

Ask EH: How do I get rid of shredded paper?

A: Do not put shredded paper in your recycling cart. The tiny pieces are difficult to sort at the recycling facilities and won't get recycled, even if you put them in a paper bag. Shredded paper can go in the trash.
