Greetings, District 2!

The summer is going by quickly! I am proud of the work that our office is doing. Many thanks for the hard work of many of our city staff and volunteers in putting on events throughout our cities. I was honored to attend and speak at the  Lauderdale Day in the Park this week. In past weeks I have been able to ride in the Rosefest parade, attend the Hmong Freedom Fest and the Rosefest Garden Theater Production as well as the Roseville Juneteenth Celebration. Selena attended her first Taste of Rosefest and is already excited for next year! Thanks again to all for your hard work!

Most recently, I have ended my Presidential year with NACo and am moving into the role of Past President. I am so thankful for my ability to serve in this role for the past year and move work forward for the betterment of Counties across the Nation. As a part of my role, I was fortunate to award one of our very own residents from Roseville, Abigail McNeil, as the Scholarship Recipient for NACo’s Presidential Scholarship. Abigail is an outstanding student who will be attending Boston University in the fall and majoring in Journalism and minoring in Political Science. Congratulations to Abby!

The board of commissioners declares July 2024 as Disability Pride Month in Ramsey County. The County recognizes that Disability Pride Month is a time for people with disabilities to unapologetically celebrate their bodies as they are. Ramsey County residents who have a disability or residents who are allies, Disability Pride Month is full of much to celebrate.
