Registration for the next Ramsey County Recycling Ambassador Program training is now open!

Recycling Ambassadors volunteer to encourage our community to reduce, reuse, and recycle. Topics covered in the training include food scraps recycling, climate change, environmental justice, household hazardous waste, and general recycling.

Join us for a viewing and discussion about food waste

Ramsey County Environmental Health is hosting a viewing of "Wasted! The Story of Food Waste" on Aug. 7 at Ramsey County Library - Maplewood and Aug. 25 at Ramsey County Library - Roseville.

This event is part of the larger Stop Food Waste Challenge, which is a month-long online challenge during August that encourages people to reduce food waste in their lives.

Sign up for the Stop Food Waste Challenge to learn better strategies for buying food you’ll eat and eating the food you buy. Coming to this viewing will earn you points for the challenge.

Fix your broken items and get gardening advice

On Aug. 24, the Ramsey County Fix-It Clinic will also have Ramsey County Master Gardeners on hand to help diagnose plant problems and give gardening advice. Bring your broken household items and your houseplant and garden questions.

The event runs from 10 a.m.-1 p.m. at the Arlington Hills Community Center in Saint Paul. There is a three item limit for the Fix-It Clinic.
