Ramsey Connected

Ramsey Connected is an initiative designed to ensure all Ramsey County residents have access to low-cost internet and computers and the skills to use them.

Ramsey County believes internet access is a basic need and low-cost internet should be available to all residents. While Ramsey County is not an internet service provider, we serve as a promoter, connector and partner through our Ramsey Connected program.

Borealis Ribbon Cutting

Borealis

Last week I attended the ribbon-cutting ceremony for the new Borealis train, which will provide daily service to Milwaukee and Chicago with stops in Red Wing, Winona, Lacrosse, Wisconsin Dells, and more.

Check out photos and videos from the event, including a tour of the train, on Ramsey County's Facebook page.

Mental Health Resources

Earlier this month, the board of commissioners proclaimed May 2024 as Mental Health Awareness Month.

Ramsey County provides comprehensive mental and behavioral health services, both directly and through contracts with private agencies. People who have insurance, public health care (such as medical assistance), or are without insurance can find help.

The 988 Lifeline provides 24/7, free and confidential support for people in distress, prevention and crisis resources, and best practices for professionals in the United States. You can call, text, or chat with a crisis counselor.
