NYFS

Northeast Youth & Family Services (NYFS) is a nonprofit, community-based and trauma-informed mental health and community services organization that has been serving people in the northeastern suburbs since 1976.

NYFS services include clinic-based and telehealth counseling for all ages, school-based services, day treatment services for middle and high school youth, diversion programming for youth, Community Connections programming for isolated youth, and Community Advocate services.

Ramsey Connected

Ramsey Connected is an initiative designed to ensure all Ramsey County residents have access to low-cost internet and computers and the skills to use them.

Ramsey County believes internet access is a basic need and low-cost internet should be available to all residents. While Ramsey County is not an internet service provider, we serve as a promoter, connector and partner through our Ramsey Connected program.

For more information on internet resources, please visit Ramsey County's webpage

May 7th board meeting

Last week I had the opportunity to chair the Ramsey County Board of Commissioners meeting.

We presented proclamations for Asian American and Pacific Islander Heritage Month and Correctional Officers Week, and an Employee Achievement Award to Cyndy Melby from the Ramsey County Attorney's Office.

CAPRW survey

Every 3 years, Community Action Partnership of Ramsey and Washington Counties (CAPRW) does a Community Needs Assessment to understand the needs and strengths of the community in Ramsey and Washington Counties. CAPRW uses the information collected from this survey, focus groups, and interviews in agency decision making and to design the services they offer.

They’ve asked us to share the survey link with the community so we can reach as many people as possible. Here is a link to the survey: https://form.jotform.com/241134095635050.

Please feel free to take the survey and to share with other residents of Ramsey and Washington Counties.

Thank you!!

Northeast Youth & Family Services Leadership Luncheon

NYFS logo

Last week I hosted a table at the Northeast Youth and Family Services (NYFS) Leadership Luncheon. It was great to be with so many community leaders as we celebrated the work of the organization and heard testimonials from a few of the many clients that NYFS has served.

Congratulations to Mounds View Schools, who received the Together we Thrive Award at the event! This award recognizes a partner that has shown a deep commitment to advancing NYFS' mission through creativity and collaboration.

Mounds View Schools has been a partner and part of the NYFS story since the organization's founding. A Mounds View Schools employee and a Roseville Area Schools employee, along with seven municipalities, started NYFS in 1976.
