NYFS

Northeast Youth & Family Services (NYFS) is a nonprofit, community-based and trauma-informed mental health and community services organization that has been serving people in the northeastern suburbs since 1976.

NYFS services include clinic-based and telehealth counseling for all ages, school-based services, day treatment services for middle and high school youth, diversion programming for youth, Community Connections programming for isolated youth, and Community Advocate services.

Ramsey Connected

Ramsey Connected is an initiative designed to ensure all Ramsey County residents have access to low-cost internet and computers and the skills to use them.

Ramsey County believes internet access is a basic need and low-cost internet should be available to all residents. While Ramsey County is not an internet service provider, we serve as a promoter, connector and partner through our Ramsey Connected program.

For more information on internet resources, please visit Ramsey County's webpage

Property Tax Statements

Annual property valuation notices and tax statements for 2024 were mailed to Ramsey County property owners in mid-March. Valuation notices include property classification, estimated market value and taxable market value, which is used to determine property taxes payable in 2025. Tax Statements, Value Notices, and additional property tax information is available on the County’s website.

Utility Mapping Legislation

The utility mapping bill that I mentioned in my last newsletter is moving forward at the Legislature. Language from the bill was amended onto the House transportation policy bill during a floor session earlier this month, and was passed with bipartisan support.

Thank you to Associated General Contractors of Minnesota, Rep. Kraft, and Sen. Hoffman for leading this effort. Check out this video from KARE 11 for highlights from a press conference about the bill.

Community Naloxone Training

Join Saint Paul – Ramsey County Public Health for a free naloxone training open to Ramsey County community members. The session will take place on April 17 from 3-4 pm and each attendee will receive a naloxone kit. Pre-registration for the training is required; 40 spots are available.

More information and a link to register is available here.
