Ask EH: Can I recycle small plastics like straws and bottle caps?
A: Don’t put small items like straws, plastic utensils and loose caps in the recycling.
Small items fall through the recycling facility equipment and end up in the trash. Keep caps on plastic bottles and aluminum tabs attached to cans.
Do you have a question about recycling and disposal and can’t find the answer in our A to Z Green Guide? Call our Recycling & Disposal hotline at 651-633-EASY (3279) or send us a message.
