Ramsey County launches free naloxone pilot project for residents
Saint Paul – Ramsey County Public Health has launched a pilot project to distribute a potentially life-saving drug that can reverse opioid overdoses. The county is offering free naloxone (commonly known as Narcan®) directly to residents on a limited basis. Ramsey County residents can order a naloxone kit, which includes:
- Two doses of naloxone nasal spray.
- Breathing barriers and gloves.
- Directions for use and a list of community resources.
Public Health is offering one kit per address, while supplies last. The kits will be mailed directly to homes.
