Wishing you and your loved ones a wonderful holiday season and a Happy New Year!
Ramsey County recently hosted the National Association of Counties (NACo) board of directors meeting. Attendees had the opportunity to learn about the County's innovative youth and young adult employment and training programs; tour the 3M Innovation Center; enjoy a holiday bazaar and reception at Landmark Center; and hear from county leaders about inspiring community engagement, leading intergovernmental partnerships, and more.
This event was a great opportunity to showcase the work that Ramsey County is doing in a variety of areas, build relationships among county leaders, and introduce attendees to fun holiday traditions like the holiday bazaar and European Christmas Market.

A few days after the NACo board meeting wrapped up the Association of Minnesota Counties (AMC) hosted their annual conference.
My staff and I attended workshops on juvenile restorative justice, tackling 'wicked' problems, modernizing human services systems, and implementation of the new Department of Children Youth and Families. We heard from a variety of keynote speakers and elected new AMC leadership as well.
