NEW Child Care Calculator

While the Legislature made significant investments to support families in the last legislative session, there is still more work to be done to make child care affordable for families in Ramsey County.

The Legislature passed a law setting a goal that no family would ever have to pay more than 7% of their yearly income for child care, no matter how many young children they have in care.

Think Small's child care calculator estimates what you would pay for child care if the Minnesota Legislature invested the resources necessary to meet this 7% goal. Check it out!

If you're a resident of District 1 please also share your child care story with my office on our Google form.

Medical Assistance Renewals

During the COVID-19 pandemic, people did not have to renew their Medical Assistance (MA) or MinnesotaCare. Now that the pandemic has ended, most people will have to complete a renewal.

Completing a MA renewal may be new for some. To help with the Medical Assistance renewal process, Ramsey County and Briva Health are providing free one-on-one appointments with MNsure navigators on Friday, December 1st at the Ramsey County Library in Roseville.

Interpreters and bilingual navigators will be available onsite to help with renewals. More information and a link to register are available here.

Events at Union Depot

The North Pole Express will be at Union Depot the first two weekends of December. Take a short train ride to the North Pole, meet Santa and his elves and enjoy meeting some entertaining characters along the way!
