The board of commissioners have proclaimed September 2023 Workforce Development Month in the county.
The board of commissioners proclaimed August 2023 as Breastfeeding Awareness Month in Ramsey County.

Ramsey County uses its two-year (biennial) operating budget to monitor revenue and expenses, and to improve financial management and strategic planning. The Capital Improvement Program (CIP) is used to fund projects such as major equipment purchases and construction or renovation of facilities.

Congratulations to our library system! Ramsey County Library was nominated and awarded the gold seal by the Star Tribune's Minnesota's Best—an interactive and community-oriented contest where businesses earn recognition through audience participation.
Applications open for affordable housing development and redevelopment
Ramsey County is now accepting applications for two solicitations:
Emerging and Diverse Developers and Development & Infrastructure
The Emerging and Diverse Developers Solicitation is hosted through the Emerging and Diverse Developers Program and exclusively open to developers who own or have owned between zero and five housing properties in the state of Minnesota, in the last 10 years.
The 2023 Development & Infrastructure Solicitation is hosted through the Critical Corridors Program and offers funding to redevelopment projects that facilitate inclusive development and public infrastructure within transit, economic and cultural corridors.

On Sept. 15, Ramsey County will begin accepting applications for the Fall 2023 Environmental Response Fund. This program provides assistance to public entities, nonprofits and for-profit developers to offset the costs of environmental cleanup of contaminated sites.
If interested, please email Ella Mitchell before applying to discuss specific project and funding needs. Applications are due Nov. 1.
As businesses grow so do the challenges of scale. The CEO Next Business Institute provides the practical tools and techniques second-stage businesses need to grow. Eligible participants must have businesses in Ramsey, Dakota, Carver, Hennepin and Scott counties, have 10-99 employees, revenue between $1-50 million and be ready to transition with an appetite and aptitude for growth. Applications will be accepted through the end of October. Priority will be given to applications received before Sept. 22.
