Ramsey Connected

Ramsey Connected is an initiative designed to ensure all Ramsey County residents have access to low-cost internet and computers and the skills to use them.

Ramsey County believes internet access is a basic need and low-cost internet should be available to all residents. While Ramsey County is not an internet service provider, we serve as a promoter, connector and partner through our Ramsey Connected program.

In the Community

Tree Trust

Ramsey County board members and staff had the opportunity to meet with staff and youth participants of the Tree Trust program.

Last week we got to learn more about the work that Tree Trust is doing in our community, specifically at Tamarack Nature Center. My aide was able to attend the event and hear from some of the young people involved in the program.

This partnership is part of the County's young adult employment program, which provides employment and training opportunities to low-income and/or at-risk young adults. Services provided by vendors include career planning, job search assistance, paid work experience and assistance with tuition costs. Learn more about the program here.

Volunteer Opportunity: Home Restoration Crew

New Yard Waste Site Policy

Starting September 1, 2023, mechanical or hydraulic dumping trailers and dump trucks will not be allowed at Ramsey County yard waste sites - this includes both residential and commercial equipment. Dumping trailers and dump trucks pose safety and contamination concerns and are primarily used by commercial services, which are not permitted at our yard waste sites. If you have a dumping trailer or dump truck, you should use a commercial yard waste site. You can read the full policy here.
