Last week I attended the grand opening of a new local business, In Vino Veritas, a wine bar in Shoreview. I also had the opportunity to meet with constituents and community representatives and help launch NYFS' strategic planning process.
Smoke from wildfires in Canada has been affecting air quality throughout the state, including in Ramsey County.
Poor air quality most directly affects children and older adults; those who have asthma or other breathing conditions like chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD); those with heart disease or high blood pressure; and those who are doing extended or heavy physical activity like playing sports or working outdoors.

 Ramsey County will be hosting an open house about the County Road J and I-35E Interchange Project at Tamarack Nature Center on July 12th. The North Oaks Children’s Hospital Guild II Annual Rummage Sale will take place on Saturday, September 16th from 9:00 am to 3:00 pm (early birds can start at 7 am for a $5 fee) and Sunday September 17thfrom 9:00 am to 2:00 pm. It’s a great place to shop for gently used furniture, boutique items, children’s clothes and toys, houseware items, bicycles and much more.
