Ramsey County Public Works will lead and participate in dozens of construction and maintenance projects during 2023.
Major projects include reconstructing portions of Cleveland Avenue in Saint Paul and Falcon Heights, Lexington Avenue in Arden Hills and Shoreview, and South Shore Boulevard in White Bear Lake. Lexington Parkway will also be extended south to connect to Shepard Road.

Public Works is responsible for maintaining the 300 miles of Ramsey County roads, including pothole repair. If you see a pothole, please report it so our Public Works team can repair it quickly.

The payment deadline for first-half property taxes is May 15, 2023. Payments will be accepted via U.S. mail, at secure form drop-off locations and electronically via the online payment portal.

Minnesota homeowners and renters may qualify for one or more state property tax refunds. Eligibility requirements change each year. You may qualify this year even if you haven’t qualified in the past.

2024-25 biennial budget information and listening session
On April 11, the county hosted an in-person and virtual listening session about its 2024-25 biennial budget. Attendees were able to hear more about the budget and had the opportunity to ask questions and share feedback.

May is Mental Health Awareness Month and Foster Care Awareness Month.
Each of us can play a role in promoting good mental health by reaching out virtually to a friend, family member or a loved one. Ramsey County provides a variety of mental health resources.
This month we also recognize the 800 licensed foster care providers, policymakers, child welfare professionals - and others who help the 1,000+ youth in Ramsey County foster care find brighter futures and permanent homes.
