Testifying in the House Children and Families Finance and Policy Committee
In the past two weeks, I've testified in both the House Children and Families Finance and Policy Committee and the Senate Health and Human Services Committee in support of the Great Start for All Minnesota Children Act 2023.
This proposal will transform Minnesota's early care and learning system into one that is accessible and affordable for families while also providing better wages for the professionals that help shape young children's brains.

I will be hosting a community conversation about public safety on the evening on April 26th. The event will take place at the Shoreview Library. More information will be provided in the next newsletter.
Get a first look at preliminary plans for the county’s new Environmental Service Center (ESC) to be built in Roseville, and share your feedback to help shape the facility. The ESC will make it easier for residents to reduce, reuse and recycle. County staff will share information about ESC plans and be available to answer questions.
Zoom meetings will take place today from 7:00 to 8:30 pm and on April 4th from noon to 1:30 pm. There will also be an in-person open house on April 5th at the Ramsey County Library in Shoreview. More information, including links to the Zoom meetings, can be found here.
Serving on a Ramsey County advisory board or committee is a great way to get involved with your local government and make a positive impact on your community. The board of commissioners appoint residents to serve in these important roles that help shape policy, review programs and plans, and represent families and residents in Ramsey County.
There are currently vacancies on the Community Health Services Advisory Committee, Extension Committee, and Parks and Recreation Commission. You can learn more about these advisory boards/committees and how to apply here. The deadline to apply is Sunday, April 16, 2023 at 11:59pm.
