Trade Up

The International Union of Painters & Allied Trades District Council 82 is hiring for trade show positions. Ramsey County residents who are 18 or older and looking for a job working with your hands will be hired on the spot, no experience necessary. You will work with a team to set up large scale events such as the Minnesota Golf Show, Minneapolis Home & Garden show and more.

More information about this opportunity is available here. Next training session is on March 11th.

Ramsey Connected

Ramsey Connected is an initiative designed to ensure all Ramsey County residents have access to low-cost internet and computers and the skills to use them.

Ramsey County believes internet access is a basic need and low-cost internet should be available to all residents. While Ramsey County is not an internet service provider, we serve as a promoter, connector and partner through our Ramsey Connected program.

Great Start for All Proposal

Child care

I've been working with advocates on a legislative proposal to transform Minnesota's early care and learning system into one that is accessible and affordable for families while providing better wages for the professionals that help shape young children's brains.

The proposal will be heard in the House Children and Families Finance and Policy Committee on Thursday, and I have offered to testify in support of it. You can find a link to the committee home page here, and a link to the Great Start MN webpage with more information about the proposal (and an opportunity to take action!) here.

All-Abilities 2050 Transportation Plan

Ramsey County is leading an effort to develop a long-term plan to ensure that transportation projects are accessible to people of all ages and abilities. The goal of this process is to identify transportation needs throughout the county and work collaboratively on a plan to address those needs.

There are two upcoming community engagement opportunities on March 9th and 28th. You can find more information, including links to the virtual meetings, here.
