Ramsey County believes internet access is a basic need and low-cost internet should be available to all residents. While Ramsey County is not an internet service provider, we serve as a promoter, connector and partner through our Ramsey Connected program.

Do you know someone who needs a warm place to sleep during cold winter nights? Ramsey County operates three warming spaces in Saint Paul from 9:30 p.m. to 6 a.m. every night, with transportation included. More information is available at ramseycounty.us/WarmingSpaces


Board Organizational Meeting

The Board of Commissioners will hold its annual organizational meeting on January 3rd. Commissioners who were elected or re-elected this year will be sworn in, board leadership will be chosen, and Commissioner appointments to various boards and committees will be approved.

We're excited to welcome two new Commissioners - Rena Moran and Mai Chong Xiong - to the Board!


Homestead Applications Due January 3rd

The deadline to file for homestead status for property taxes paid in 2023 is January 3, 2023. Residents need to apply for homestead if:

  • They’ve purchased a property in the past year and they, or a qualifying relative, occupy the property for homestead purposes on Dec. 31, 2022, or
  • They’ve made a change such as marital status, ownership or address, or
  • Their property is being used for homestead purposes on Dec. 31, 2022, and the property was previously classified as non-homestead.
