Help improve snow removal

Snowplow

Ramsey County is responsible for maintaining a 293-mile system of county roads, including snow removal.

Please help the operators of our fleet of 30+ plows improve the quality and speed of snow and ice removal by keeping these guidelines in mind:

  • Slow down and give plows plenty of room to clear the roads.
  • Avoid travel during heavy snowfall or ice if you can.
  • Never pass a snowplow on the right.
  • Stay back at least 100 feet.
  • Don't cut in front of snowplows or make sudden lane changes.
  • Be patient. Be courteous.
  • Know the snow emergency rules in your city.

Follow us on Twitter and Facebook for the latest updates on winter conditions.
