Ramsey County is responsible for maintaining a 293-mile system of county roads, including snow removal.
Please help the operators of our fleet of 30+ plows improve the quality and speed of snow and ice removal by keeping these guidelines in mind:
- Slow down and give plows plenty of room to clear the roads.
- Avoid travel during heavy snowfall or ice if you can.
- Never pass a snowplow on the right.
- Stay back at least 100 feet.
- Don't cut in front of snowplows or make sudden lane changes.
- Be patient. Be courteous.
- Know the snow emergency rules in your city.
